A New Era of Rehabilitation at Notre Dame
Change is in the air at Notre Dame Long Term Care & Rehabilitation Center, and it’s the kind that transforms lives. As we unveil our newly renovated Rehab Center, we are also celebrating the arrival of Marybeth Cellucci, our new Rehabilitation Director. With her experience, passion and leadership, this marks a fresh chapter in our journey toward providing exceptional care to our community.

A New Chapter for Rehabilitation Care at Notre Dame
For years, Notre Dame’s Rehab Center has been a place of healing and hope, where patients regain their strength and independence. But as health care evolves, so must we. This renovation was more than just an upgrade; it was a reinvention of the space to better serve and support residents.
Imagine walking into a Rehab Center where everything – from the calming environment to the therapy equipment – is designed with healing in mind. You’ll find that here. With this new renovation, our in-house team is ready to set a new standard in high-quality Rehabilitation care with enhanced capabilities, including:
- Separate occupational therapy and physical therapy spaces
- Enhanced comfort and privacy
- A thoughtfully designed layout
- Improved accessibility
- Advanced treatment options
The goal is simple: to make Rehabilitation more comfortable, effective, and empowering for everyone who walks through our doors while providing the best possible experience and consistency in care for patients and their families.
This timing couldn’t be more perfect, as Marybeth steps in to guide our vision forward.
Marybeth Cellucci: A Leader With Experience and Passion
Marybeth’s journey in physical therapy spans over three decades. She has worked across Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Home Care settings, always putting patients first. But what truly sets her apart is her passion for nonprofit care – a dedication that aligns seamlessly with Notre Dame’s mission.
Marybeth has an undergraduate degree in biology from Stonehill College and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Boston University. Her 16 years of Catholic education further help her appreciate the mission and values of Notre Dame Health Care.
From the moment she walked through our doors, it was clear that Marybeth wasn’t just here to lead – she was here to make a difference. With Marybeth at the helm, our Rehab is set to reach new heights. Her vision is clear: to create a seamless, patient-focused Rehabilitation experience that helps individuals recover faster and return to their daily lives with confidence. She is committed to refining our therapy programs, introducing innovative techniques, and fostering a team that prioritizes both medical excellence and compassionate care.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Rehab at Notre Dame
With a modernized facility and a visionary leader in place, the future of Rehabilitation at Notre Dame has never been better. We are committed to continual innovation, ensuring that our Rehab Center remains a place where recovery isn’t just a process – it’s a transformation.
In the near future, Notre Dame aims to introduce on-site physiatry services provided by a specialized rehabilitation medicine physician. This addition will significantly expand our support capabilities to include pain management, spasticity treatment, splinting, wheelchair customization, bowel and bladder care, and cortisone injections.
Our physiatry services will also offer specialized care for individuals recovering from strokes, living with neurological disorders, or navigating life as amputees—ensuring comprehensive, personalized treatment for a wide range of needs.
Under Marybeth’s leadership, we look forward to expanding our services, strengthening our community ties, and setting new benchmarks in patient care.
