Worcester, MA [April 13, 2026] – Notre Dame Health Care is pleased to announce the launch of Notre Dame Community Care, their new private pay home care service line offering non-medical home care services designed to support independence, comfort and safety at home. Experienced caregivers deliver dependable, personalized support designed to meet individual needs through a carefully assessed care plan.
When managing daily activities becomes more challenging, professional caregivers provide dependable, personal support in the comfort of your own home. Services include personal care assistance, companion care, homemaking and household support, medication reminders and wellness monitoring, respite care, and pet care assistance.
In addition, specialized support services are offered for Alzheimer’s and dementia care, chronic conditions and mobility limitations, and post-hospital and post-illness recovery assistance. Their care plans are flexible and include hourly, overnight, or live-in care and are available daily, including weekends and holidays. Services are available to serve clients in Worcester and Central Massachusetts.
Private Pay Home Care – often referred to as Private Duty Home Health – involves services that are paid for directly by the individual or their family rather than through Medicare or private health insurance. This option is frequently chosen when a senior requires more hours of care than insurance allows, or when they need assistance with activities of daily living that do not meet the strict homebound or clinical requirements of traditional insurance coverage.
By choosing Private Pay Home Care, families gain greater control over the schedule, the type of caregiver assigned, and the specific tasks performed, ensuring that care is guided by the patients’ needs rather than reimbursement structures.
In addition to direct private payment, they also accept some Long Term Care private insurance policies. Long Term Care insurance plans are private policies that individuals purchase independently, which are designed specifically to help pay for extended care services, including home care, when eligibility criteria are met. Their team works directly with insurance providers to manage the billing process, helping to simplify paperwork and reduce administrative burden for families.
In addition, Notre Dame Community Care is able to offer flexible visits from as little as one to three hours, which allows for targeted specialized services, within a more compact time-frame. This level of flexibility can be a great benefit for families seeking services on a short-term or occasional basis.
Notre Dame Community Care is registered with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, a distinction that reflects their commitment to meeting rigorous standards of safety, quality, and accountability – offering families an added layer of confidence when choosing care.
